Reagan

Here is a summer time pic of my sweet girl Reagan. I love her so. Isn't she pretty? 10 yrs old

Horse Farm in Conyers GA

We went to go visit Laura Thompson today at her job at Laurel Farms in Conyers GA. She is the barn manager there and has 6 horses to look after and manage. Really a big job!
It was so much fun, we had a blast! We spent the whole day there and then hit IKEA on the way back home and had dinner. (love it, 6.50 for me and the girls 'cause kids ate free! LOVE IT!)

We have a great swim club. We enjoy it every year, all the fun and friendship.
Here are some pics from the night and from Fun Friday morning. We love swim team! We look forward to it all year long. We played Deer Run and won by 86 points.

Reagans Biltmore

Reagans view of our trip to Biltmore. She loves architecture, I don't think she knows that, but she took lots of pictures of elements on the outside that she found so interesting. I love it. She is so artistic and she doesn't even know how that plays out yet. I love her eye for beauty though.

Allisons Biltmore

This is some pictures from Allisons camera from Biltmore. She had a blast having her own camera and capturing her trip from her viewpoint. Love it!

Office Space

Allison has decided she needs an "office" in my office. So she got the piano bench a stool and her computer and set up shop. She even has a blanket down for a rug. So funny.
She is a mess and I love her so much.

School music night

There is Reagan on the front row in the turqoise.
Reagan had a small concert tonight. It was very cute. The songs were great and everyone was really loud and clear. They had a great sound for 4th grade. Sorry Daddy missed it.

Birthdays

Reagan and Taylor both had birthdays this month. Tay turning 19 and Reagan 10. I can't believe that. It feels like only yesterday Tay was Reagan's age. Crazee. Taylor celebrated with friends and we gave her money and a bunch of candy with notes with it like: PEEPS (we love peeping into your life and watching you grow up), ALTOIDS (we are glad you are curiously strong in the Lord), and so on...She liked it.

Reagan decided she wanted a sleep over with Katie for her birthday. So we had a party! They ate, they sang, they danced, they went nuts all over the house. What a fun time.

Winter Break

We are out for winter break this week. The girls are so glad. So am I, no homework for a week! Yay!
I mean it, it is excruciating some nights.

Anyway, because Daddy is going to have surgery and we are VERY worried about it he took some time off too so we could just do some things as a family before he is out for a few weeks.

We ate out, we went and did shopping for Reagan's birthday. We had a lot of fun just hanging out together at the house. We played cards and watched some movies together. One favorite was Secretariat. SO GOOD!

We also had Reagan's party this week and just generally hung out together and made the most of our time.
I love our family and how close we are in this season of life. I know the teen years are coming and it saddens me. BUT we are trying to do some things to lessen the blow later. We have learned something nothing from raising one child!!

Friends and Ping Pong

We have some great friends that got a new travel ping pong table. So we planned a date night at our house and invited another couple too. We had a blast. Allison had her Wii game going (too little for these ping pong games!) and Bob gladly played with her some. So sweet.

We had a great time! The boys get real competitive with it. But so does Steve's wife Cristi! They are hilarious and about 2 weeks after this night they came home with us from church, had lunch and played again. Then we all went and took naps before evening church. What a fun afternoon.

February Basketball

This was a great season. We really enjoyed ourselves. She has never been happier in a sport.
There she is on the far left (of both top and bottom pics). She is so happy!
She got the award for most improvement from start to finish. She was the only one who hadn't played basketball before. So she did great.

Exciting news!

I was asked by Precept Ministries to be a part of a new promotional video. I can either go to Chattanooga and film or do it here at the church.
So exciting! I am praying about what to say in my 45 seconds of fame! Ha! Just kidding. I am so honored!!!!

Basketball

We are so excited Reagan is playing basketball. She loves it. Seriously, I probably have said this before but she is totally in love with it. She smiles the whole time and when she is on the bench she isn't playing she is watching and cheering on her team. It is a lot of fun to watch. Love IT!
Today after the game was a lazy day of just everybody doing their thing. Too cold to go out, we stayed in and watched a movie. Nice.
Then supper and Daddy and Allison playing Mario Kart. Their fav. Allison is sooo good. It is hilarious!
We had a great day.

Week

This week has flown by. I cannot believe it. I am working the mornings again Monday thru Wednesday. Then Thursday is Bible study then Friday is housecleaning/laundry. It just goes by you know? We had practice Tuesday night, Wednesday night we had church then Thursday night we had a game thrown in there. Daddy was gone all week until Thursday night. It was just busy.
The girls are fighting so much this week. Allison is talking so disrespectfully and ugly to everyone. Reagan is an instigator with Allison just picking stupid fights. We are ready to pull our hair out right now. I don't know when this got so bad, but it is at that point right now.
Big changes are going to have to happen.
At supper tonight, our normal IHOP winter time dinner stop on Friday nights (kids eat free!), they were horrible. Fighting, arguing, and talking back to us. So they had wanted to play Sequence when we got home and we didn't let them because they were just too bad.

Lord, please watch over our mouths and our hearts.

Passion 2011

We have been struggling for the last few months with "unexpected" (boy that is an understatement) bills and expenses. Taylor wanted to go to Passion downtown this year and we just couldn't swing that high ticket price afterall we had just spent $2000 on one car repair and 300 on tires within 2 wks. She understood well.

She was at work and she was giving out free samples on the floor and a man came and took one. She asked if he was with the youth group and were they going to Passion. He said yes and asked if she was going. She expressed that she had wanted to go but just couldn't do it financially this year. He came back within about 10 minutes and gave her a FREE ticket!! She was so excited and called me nearly crying. I was too. God wanted her there!
She had work til 6pm then we spoke about her driving down to GWC and DOME and meeting up with friends. Text me when you get there and she agreed.

Then I get a text at 7 saying i'm here. Oh good. Whew. I text back, make sure someone walks you to your car afterwards k? She responded, oh, i didn't drive..rode marta....I'm now leaning against a wall to steady myself...i text what!!?? please be careful, don't go alone and call when you get off and we'll talk you to your car at Lenox. GREAT! Lord, please be with her. I tell Donny and he is so aggravated and nervous, but what can we do? It is done.

Hours later at 11pm we are past ready to go to bed, she still hasn't called so we text her. No answer. We call, no answer. This goes on for almost an hour. Is her phone dead? Is she okay? Pray pray pray. I text Kerri and get Johnny's # (a friend that was there too) so I can text him, maybe he ran into her? He texts nope, haven't seen her, concert #2 just started. It's 11:50.

Okay, so maybe she is still there. We didn't ask what time this was over...figuring all good Baptists are in the bed by 10pm (my husbands funny, not mine).
So we wait....at 12:45 she calls, all happy and excited. She was just getting off Marta, which she rode by herself. We don't know if we are going to cry or scream. My word, my stomach was all in knots letting my mind explore all the tragedies that could befall her. Good grief.

She came home safe and sound. She thinks she is invincible. Didn't we all at that age? I went to NYC with friends at her age for a week long fun trip. How did my parents survive only hearing from me at night back at my hotel?? Yikes, we are so spoiled with technology.
Thank you Lord for keeping her safe. I know you wanted her there, she had such a great time and got to hear such wonderful speakers that are strong in Your word.

Hello!

Hello, Hi, How are ya? Happy New Year.
Welcome to the new site. I am still trying to track all of you down from my move. It was a necessary one and this is going to be great!

What a year the last one was! They just keep getting quicker and quicker. I know we are crazy busy but I wouldn't have it any other way. It is nice to have breaks every once in a while and looking back we got a few last year sprinkled perfectly throughout. That was a real blessing.

I am starting the new year with some goals. You know, house fix-up projects, sewing, healthy meal ideas, work ideas, yard work and church/missions projects...etc.

When I sat down and looked at my calendar it has already begun to fill up. We are hoping to add some visits from some friends this year.
